First I go to either Aldi's or Sav-a-lot, then I head over to Gordon Food Service to get the quantity items. These are the foods I bought on my last monthly "big shopping" for our family of 3 (2 adults and a teenager):

(3) lg cucumbers - $1.17
(3) 1# ground turkey - $2.07

SUBTOTAL - $29.01

From Gordon Foods -
(2) 10# b/s chicken breast - $20.98
(1) 2# broccoli cuts - $2.39
(1) 2# cauliflower - $1.99
(1) 2# asparagus - $2.99
(1) 2# chopped spinach - $2.15
(1) 5# fresh cut broccoli - $5.29
(1) 5# shredded cheddar cheese - $11.65
(1) 3# cream cheese $4.99
(1) 2-qt. small curd cottage cheese $6.29

SUBTOTAL - $58.72

And, on this particular week, I also purchased SF gelatin mixes and Half'n'Half at Walmart:

(2) half'n'half (qt) - $3.54

SUBTOTAL - $5.52


GRAND TOTAL = $93.25

I couldn't feed my family for the month on under $150 when we weren't eating low carb...do you?:)
